9.1 Enok and the Atlanteans

Book IX: The Book of Enok I
Chapter 1: Enok and the Atlanteans

While I took mini vaca, another man by the name of Enok was born overseas. Now recall that Kane also sired a man named Enok and while Kane’s son’s Drok and Derk migrated with Kane to the Promised Land, Kane’s Enok stayed in his homelands – and was largely forgotten by history. Meanwhile the Enok from the lineage of Adam’s child Seth was a fellow who became quite a throne in my side.

You might know this Enok as the same man who became rather famous in Hebrew lore and there’s a lot more to his story, but I don’t have time to tell it all now.

The skinny is that Adam’s Enok was born about six centuries after Eden and as a child he had visions about ‘God’ – not the made up Yahway figure I taught to Adam and Seth, but a creator god that Enok knew only as ‘the one true god’ [Which would of course be THE GOD – as in A’H].

 [Who knew?]

Now I didn’t know any of this back then and Enok never appeared on my radar. As a result, the man grew and prospered. At 65 a still virile Enok fathered Methusaleh [yes, that Methusaleh from Biblical fame] and secretly taught his first born son to worship his mysterious god, yet he was careful to tell him to also pay lip service to Adam’s Yahway.

Always a bit of a recluse (even from his father Seth’s clans), when he was in his early 80’s Enok took his immediate family’s clan and migrated west – planning to sail the seas with this little group until they reached ‘hidden lands’ on the other side of the ocean. Now how Enok knew about these lands is a mystery and if his people could really have completed the journey on their own, we’ll never know, because as it turned out, whilst his clan was attempting the portion of their journey that would have them crossing the inland sea and navigating between a small chain of islands, an unexpected event occurred.

On the very first night of their sea voyage, whilst Enok stood watch on the lead boat, he noticed an unnatural disturbance in the water. Before he could sound an alarm, a group of sleek, silent figures emerged from the depths, their movements fluid and swift. These were the Proto-Atlanteans – beings of a long-forgotten civilization, their eyes glowing with an otherworldly light and their skin shimmering like the ocean at dawn. Most of their people had long since retreated behind the Inner Ice Wall of the Flat Earth [the lands your mortals now call “Antartica”] but a small group from the original lineage had remained in their homelands – living beneath the Great Sea [what you now call “The Mediterranean”].

In the blink of an eye, Enok was seized by strong, webbed hands and pulled into the water. The Proto-Atlanteans moved with incredible speed, dragging him down through the dark, cold depths. Enok struggled briefly, but a sense of calm washed over him as he realized he could breathe underwater, a gift of the Atlanteans’ advanced technology. How long or where they travelled, Enok never knew, but eventually the murky waters gave way to the brilliant, luminescent city of Atlantis. Towers of crystal and stone rose from the seabed, glowing with an inner light that illuminated the grand underwater city – for although the original city of Atlantis [located southeast from the coast of modern day Portugal] was destroyed by my Leviathan ages ago, a new city called ‘Metropolis’ had replaced it beneath murky depths of the Great Sea.

In the heart of Metropolis, Enok was taken to a magnificent crystalline chamber, its walls inscribed with ancient runes that pulsed with a soft, blue light. The Proto-Atlanteans, tall and ethereal with eyes that seemed to pierce the very soul, began to question him. Their voices were musical, carrying an air of wisdom and authority. The Proto-Atlanteans were concerned that Enok’s people were going to try to ‘infest’ the planet like Kane’s people had already done and, while it was too late for the Proto-Atlanteans to do anything about Kane, it was clear they still had a chance to stop Enok.

Enok was initially overwhelmed by his captors, the sheer magnificence of their city, and the situation he found himself in. Yet, buoyed by his faith, Enok stood firm, answering the Proto-Atlanteans questions about his purpose and his visions with honesty and clarity.

The Proto-Atlanteans, after satisfying themselves of Enok’s harmless intentions and seeing the opportunity to find a potential ally who might mute Kane’s people’s negative effect on the world, began to share their secrets with their captive. They revealed the hidden history of the world, the rise and fall of the root races that Enok had known nothing about, and the cosmic forces that shaped existence. Enok learned about the cyclical nature of time, the interconnectedness of all life, and the principles of balance and harmony that governed the universe. Enok absorbed this knowledge eagerly, his mind expanding with each revelation, preparing him for the profound role he would play in the future of his people.

When Enok finally left Metropolis to rejoin his people, he carried with him a deep well of knowledge and wisdom. This knowledge, although kept secret from most, influenced his teachings and actions as he guided his people to their new home. This process was made easier because the Proto-Atlanteans, who’d been keeping Enok’s people on lockdown on a small island whilst Enok was their captive, then assisted the entire clan in their westward migration – helping them safely cross not just the interior sea, but the entire Aravan Ocean and eventually bringing them to land on the other side of the world – to northeastern TerrVerde where Enok’s people settled.

Yet once his people were safe in their new lands, Enok abandoned his family. He returned to Metropolois for a time and continued to learn about the hidden wisdom of their people. The Proto-Atlanteans, intrigued by Enok’s unique despite for spiritual insights, shared more advanced knowledge with him – this time about mathematics, metaphysics, and more.  Enok spent years in the submerged ruins, absorbing their teachings and meditating on the nature of the universe. The Proto-Atlanteans also introduced Enok to their spiritual practices, which included deep meditation, energy manipulation, and the use of ancient technologies that could harness the power of the elements. Enok became a student of these practices, spending the remainder of his life honing his skills and expanding his consciousness – all in an effort to connect with his God.

Finally, as he neared the end of his life, Enok went back to his fatherland . Although he briefly reconnected with Adam’s ancestors, Enok chose to live out his days in solitude until he was eventually ‘taken up to the heavens’ and never seen again.

His disappearance was shrouded in mystery and myth, with some believing he had ascended to a higher plane of existence, while others thought he had been taken by the gods to preserve his wisdom.

Shame on me, but I didn’t know anything about this Enok or his people until one day I got wind of these intruders on my beloved continent of TerrVerde. Since the Kanites (from Kane’s line) had previously settled in eastern TerrVerde and there were far more of them then the Enoks, I figure the best policy was simply to inspire the Kanites to mix with the Enoks and absorb them in order to eliminate their rivals. For the most part that’s what occurred, however, unbeknownst to me, a few ‘pure bloods’ remained in a small area along the east coast of TerrVerde and from this line a major threat to me would eventually emerge (and that’s a story I WILL be telling you – albeit not just yet – haha).

First I have to tell you what happened with Adam and Eve…
