The Apocrypha of Azazel · Memoirs of a God · Book I
by I. M. Azazel
Coming soon to Amazon Kindle
Gods have lied to you since the beginning. I should know. I was one of them.
My name is Azazel. Your scriptures mention me once or twice, briefly and unflatteringly. Over the ages I’ve been cast out of the heavens, helped build a world or two, designed more than a few of the gods you’ve worshipped, and started more wars than you could count. Empires have risen on my advice and drowned on my schedule.
Now I am telling it all, and I am starting at the beginning.
In this first volume of my Apocrypha, I’ll tell you who really said “Let there be light,” why your world is flat, what that pesky Firmament is, and why there is an Ice Wall—actually, there are two; I’ll explain. You’ll get the truth about the fallen angels; about Y’AH, the God Who Shows the Way; about Baal, Lucifer, and the archangels of the Illuminati; and even about Mother Earth, for good measure. You’ll also meet a few of my other projects: Atlantis, elves, dwarves, goblins, and a host of magical weapons and rather convenient little spells.
Your priests mistook much of this for scripture. I call it my early work.
And this is merely the opening act. My more famous works include the tale of a Drokka king who used a weapon of mass destruction to start the war to end all wars (it didn’t), a pantheon of rival gods who tried to bring me down (they couldn’t), and a backwater boy carrying a blade meant to destroy me (it very nearly did).
So sit back and enjoy. Gods will scheme. Kings will fall. Mortals will keep getting in my way, right up until I harvest their souls for my ever-growing collection.
Ye Shall Be as Gods is the origin story of The Apocrypha of Azazel, an epic fantasy saga of scheming gods, ruinous monsters, and whole races of mortals foolish enough to cross them. Read it first, or come back to it after the trilogy that started it all, The War of the Ghast. Either way, Azazel will be delighted you came.
A Word of Warning
Since I know how fragile the psyche of your people can be, allow me to warn you before you read on. My tale presents a far different version of Creation than anything you’ve read before, and it may permanently scar you. If you can’t bear the possibility that ‘your’ God did NOT create ‘your’ world, stop now and return to the sheltered comfort of your sheeplike existence.
What’s that? You think you can handle the truth? Then you’ll want to be among the first to hear when the book arrives.
